20 – 35 hours per week
$10 - $15 per hour

Day Shifts – Weekend and Weekdays
9 am – 6 pm Weekdays
7 am – 6 pm Weekends
Prior cooking experience essential. Nutrition training and prior experience
working with elderly/special populations helpful. ServSafe Certification
required (may receive in conjunction with training period at Assisted Living
Center – Salisbury.)
The chef at Assisted Living Center – Salisbury reports to the food service
manager, but works most of the time independently. The chef will be preparing
home style meals for 30 older residents of the center, including breakfast,
lunch (the main meal of the day) and a lighter supper fare. All meals are served
by staff to the residents in the common dining room.
A successful applicant for this position must possess organizational skills and
be able to make reasonable decisions when the food service manager is not
available, be able to manage multiple tasks simultaneously, have good
communication skills to interact with our older population, and understand the
special nutrition needs and desires of this population.
