Assisted Living Center - Salisbury stands out in a crowded field of assisted living communities because of the commitment, dedication and compassion of each professional employee here. Every staff member – from personal care to cooks to management – is a resident of a local community, employed by this local organization - not a contracted worker from a large out-of-state corporation. Our employees are the heart and soul of our success.
We understand the characteristics and traditions of the local area. We know where the best farm stands, butcher shops and fish markets are located. And we have first-hand knowledge of the area’s best support services available to the senior population.
We understand that you want to be as active and independent as possible while receiving the supportive care you require. We strive to help you maintain the daily living activities you can still manage without our assistance - and we will be there to assist you when you can't quite perform other activities alone.
|Our Personal Commitment
The staff of the Assisted Living Center - Salisbury is committed to providing quality personal care with a full range of services in a uniquely styled environment within a community of friends and extended family.
We respect our resident’s desire for privacy and autonomy while constantly being mindful of their safety and well being, and desire for socialization and stimulating activities.
We encourage participation of family and friends in our resident’s lives, yet we maintain the greatest respect for the confidentiality of their medical and personal information.
It is our goal to continually exceed the expectations of our residents, to immediately address the changing needs of our community, and strive to improve our performance each day.
|We are the Affordable Alternative
The Assisted Living Center - Salisbury is committed to keeping our residence affordable so that no senior has to choose between living alone unsafely or being prematurely placed in a long term care facility/nursing home because they cannot afford assisted living. Unlike the many other assisted living facilities in the region that gear their rates to the wealthier populations, we have made a commitment to do our very best to operate in a manner that makes it possible for seniors to afford the residential assisted living care that they need. In order to achieve this, we participate in programs that subsidize the cost for lower income elders, such as MassHealth Group Adult Foster Care (GAFC), Commonwealth Care Alliance/Senior Care Options (SCO), and can help direct veterans to the Veteran’s Aid & Attendance program, as well as maintain the most affordable private pay rates around.
The Assisted Living Center - The Salisbury Difference
The Assisted Living Center - Salisbury has been a trusted name on the seacoast for over a decade, providing quality assisted living care to seniors from Maine to Massachusetts and beyond.
Our Salisbury facility is one of the first nonprofit assisted living facilities in New England with the unique concept of providing residential care that is affordable to all. Our success in achieving that goal has earned us the reputation of being the leader in the affordable assisted living industry. Our many awards and recognitions demonstrate that success.
We are a very affordable senior residential care alternative where all personal care services are included in one set fee and available to you in your own private unit with a private bath. We offer creative and energetic social programs as well as customized geriatric fitness & strength training programs in our Fitness Zone. Men’s and women’s salon services are available in Connie’s Cuts and Curls, and all of your personal needs and snacks are there for you in Nellie’s General Store. Tino’s Trattoria is where three freshly prepared meals are offered to please your palate daily.
No matter what the time of year, you will find something special going on. It doesn’t take much of a reason for us to have a celebration!
Whether it’s Mardi Gras, St Patrick’s Day, or Cinco de Mayo, we are ready for a party. We participate in a series of environmental awareness programs during Earth week in April, as well as start planting seeds for our vegetable and flower gardens. We gather up the members of our walking club on the first warm spring day and move around the neighborhood.
The flowers are planted, the barbeque is fired up, the picnic umbrellas are up and the wicker chairs are on the deck…..No, this is not your vacation retreat or a summer resort location….it is the Assisted Living Center in Salisbury. Trips to the ice cream stand or down the street for “beach pizza” will be on the agenda for sure.
As we watch the trees around us turn from green to the bright reds, oranges and golds of autumn, we are reminded that it is time to bring in our final harvest from our vegetable garden. Everyone gets to reap the benefits of the fall harvest as they sample some pumpkin pie or zucchini bread made by our Cooking Club, or enjoy the arrangements made from dried flowers from cutting from our own flower gardens. It is also time for the nature lovers to prepare the bird feeders for winter.
The scents of home-made soups permeate the building. Our hot chocolate parties and tea parties can warm even the coldest, snowiest winters day. Families are invited to join in our multi-course gourmet holiday dinners of crown roast of pork, roast turkey, prime rib or roast lamb. Holiday tree decorating gatherings, the annual party, live performances, and Andy, Bing, Dean and all the old time Christmas Shows are brought out once again. It is a wonderful time of year.
